The well in the middle of the cloisters

Built in 1610, the Convent & Cloisters of Recollets, are located on a large jetty which penetrates the harbour and separates the marina in the Port de Plaisance of Ciboure and the Fishing port of St. Jean de Luz (adjacent to the bridge which defines the boundary of the 2 Towns).

The well, in the middle of the cloisters, was offered by Cardinal Mazarin for the wedding of Louis XIV and the Infanta of Spain.
